Arundel Gallery Trail
This year Laura's work featured in the Arundel Gallery Trail.
The oldest walking art trail in the world. In 2018 Arundel Gallery Trail was between Saturday 18th and Bank Holiday Monday 27th August alongside the other great
happenings of the Arundel Festival. It celebrated local talent in 65 locations with 150 plus artists and makers taking part. Sculptors, painters, printers, ceramicists, illustrators, textiles,
tapestry, furniture makers, photographers and jewellers are among the many exhibitors showing. Visitors have a unique opportunity to meet and talk to the artists themselves whilst discovering
many of Arundel's period homes.
The event is an essential part of the South's art calendar and draws together a wide range of established national and international artists, as well as showcasing some wonderful local talent. During the 10 day period you can wander from venue to venue, (entry is free), a great day out for art collectors and enthusiasts alike.
The Arundel Trail started in 1989, 10 years after the first Arundel Festival, which had no visual arts element. The original idea of Anne Sutton MBE.
They schieved their aim to creat a circular walking trail within the town centre, which visitors coulsd see "50 temporary galleries in cellers, conservatories, front rooms, and back yards of houses, shops and offices".
Over the years the trail has expanded to include the whole town, but still maintains the ethos of being walkable.
